Telephone Nigam Limited, (MTNL) is the second largest Telephone
company in India which serves the cities of Delhi and Mumbai.
These two being the premier cities of India, MTNL is under pressure
to be the first with many customer-friendly services.
Problem
MTNL had developed
various application like the FRS (Fault Resolution System), CSMS,
FMS (Fault Management System) and DQ (Directory Query, 197 Service)
Systems, which were installed at various functional areas are
building up the databases at their corresponding locations, thus
forming a distributed database network of the same organization.
This resulted in a need for a centralized application which can
talk to these wide spread databases to act as a one point source
of information. Integrated application of Secure Intranet Of MTNL
works as an integrator of all these systems and will form the
basis application for MIS reporting module.
